Nature-Based Solutions in Functional Urban Areas
Wrocław, Poland — 25-26 September 2019
Joint organisers: Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Polish Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the Wrocław Metropolitan Area (WrOM)
Combining input from Polish and Dutch experts, this Policy Lab provided a platform to exchange experiences relating to Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and to identify key challenges and recommendations to contribute to national policies on these topics.
Featuring site visits within the Wroclaw Metropolitan Area and in-depth exploration of potential FUA governance models, this event laid useful groundwork for placing FUAs and NBS high on the European agenda.
