Shaping the Spanish Urban Agenda
Madrid, Spain
Joint organisers: Spanish Ministry of Public Works
This Policy Lab centred on informing Spain’s strategic orientation in developing its National Urban Agenda, bringing together experts from Spain and from national ministries in other EUKN member countries.
Exploring the status of existing national urban policies within Europe, it facilitated an informed exchange on the complex political and structural frameworks in place across various countries. Also considering domestic, European and global political frameworks, such as the Urban Agenda for the EU and the global New Urban Agenda, this Policy Lab guided the Spanish Ministry’s first stages of identifying effective actions and instruments for developing its own National Urban Agenda.
