SUMMARY:Driving a just Twin Transition
DESCRIPTION:Joint Policy Lab for France and Poland\n(Version française ci-dessous/ Wersja polska poniżej)\nThe green and digital transitions have the power to radically transform societies and economies. They are closely linked\, with potential positive and negative impacts on each other and the wider effort to create just and productive cities. Steering them appropriately is therefore high on the policy agenda at both the European and national levels. \nThis Policy Lab therefore aims at unravelling what the Twin Transition is about\, both in terms of challenges and opportunities. It will specifically explore how to steer a Twin Transition in an integrated way\, considering not only the green and the digital\, but also the just and the productive dimensions of cities. Concrete objectives are to: \n\nUnpack the concept of the Twin Transition to understand opportunities and challenges\nExplore how citizens’ inclusion in the Twin Transition\, via support in upskilling and awareness raising\, can steer a just and productive development of cities\nExplore what a fair distribution of green and digital infrastructures means in practice\, with a focus on the just-green dimension of cities\n\nThe Policy Lab is organised by the European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN)\, the Polish Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the French National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT). It will be held in Warsaw the day after the final conference of Eco-Miasto\, a project of the French Embassy in Poland and UNEP/GRID-Warsaw. \nThe Policy Lab will be in English with interpretation to Polish and French available.\nThe event is open and the registration free of charge. Registration for onsite participation is open until 4 October.\nThe event is Hybrid. Il explorera spécifiquement comment piloter cette « transition jumelle » de manière intégrée\, en tenant compte non seulement des dimensions verte et numérique\, mais aussi des dimensions juste et productive des villes. Les objectifs concrets sont de : \n\nExpliquer le concept de « transition jumelle » pour comprendre ses opportunités et ses défis\nExplorer comment l’intégration des citoyens dans la Twin Transition\, via la montée en compétence et la sensibilisation\, peut orienter un développement juste et productif des villes\nAnalyser ce que signifie\, en pratique\, la répartition équitable des infrastructures vertes et numériques\, en mettant l’accent sur la dimension juste et verte des villes\n\nLe Policy Lab est organisé par l’European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN)\, le ministère polonais des Fonds de développement et de la Politique régionale et l’Agence nationale française pour la cohésion territoriale (ANCT). Oba wymiary tej transformacji są z jednej strony ściśle ze sobą powiązane\, a z drugiej strony wiążą się z potencjalnymi pozytywnymi i negatywnymi skutkami\, a także działaniami na rzecz tworzenia sprawiedliwych i produktywnych miast. Odpowiednie nimi kierowanie jest zatem jednym z głównych priorytetów agendy politycznej zarówno na szczeblu europejskim\, jak i krajowym. \nCelem tego seminarium (Policy Lab) jest więc zrozumienie tego na czym polega koncepcja „Twin Transition”)\, zarówno pod względem wyzwań\, jak i możliwości. Spotkanie będzie poświęcone w szczególności temu\, jak kierować ”twin transition”  w zintegrowany sposób\, biorąc pod uwagę nie tylko ekologiczny i cyfrowy\, ale także sprawiedliwy i produktywny wymiar rozwoju miast. Konkretne cele Policy Lab to: \n\nzaprezentowanie koncepcji „twin Transition” w celu zrozumienia możliwości i wyzwań stojących przed taką koncepcją rozwoju;\nprzedyskutowanie\, w jaki sposób włączenie obywateli w „twin transition” \, poprzez wsparcie w podnoszeniu kwalifikacji i podnoszeniu świadomości\, może kierować sprawiedliwym i produktywnym rozwojem miast;\ndowiedzenie się\, co w praktyce oznacza sprawiedliwa dystrybucja zielonej i cyfrowej infrastruktury\, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem sprawiedliwego i środowiskowego wymiaru rozwoju miast\n\nPolicy Lab jest organizowany przez Europejską Sieć Wiedzy o Miastach (EUKN)\, polskie Ministerstwo Funduszy i Polityki Regionalnej oraz Francuską Narodową Agencję ds. Spójności Terytorialnej (ANCT).
